As one of the highlights in THAIFEX – World of Food Asia, hosted Thailand’s largest Chef competition of the year- THAILAND ULTIMATE CHEF CHALLENGE (TUCC) 2018. This year, there are more than 11 countries from United States, Mongolia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, and so on. With over 1,300 entries in over 20 categories of competitions, TUCC is recognized as the biggest chef challenge of the year.
Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge is jointly organized by DITP Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, Thai Chamber of Commerce, Koelnmesse and Thailand Chef Association. For 7years, the challenge has been endorsed by World Association of Chef Society (World Chefs) certifying the world class standard in each and every category. This year, TUCC continues to set a high standard and record with the number of competitors, facilities, and new categories, raising the bar for the rest of Asia to emulate. As the competition will be more than 20 different categories with new added one “Asia Cuisine Challenge” for the competitors to showcase their culinary skills over the five-day competitions at Impact Exhibition and Conventional Center Hall 8 during 29 May – 2 June 2018.
The Thailand Chefs Association and Thailand Culinary Academy are the forefront in training and developing young chefs, and with this the World Association of Chefs Societies (World Chefs) is extremely pleased to be associated with the leader in our industry.
The champion in each category will take home a TUCC trophy with 5,000-Baht cash. Hence, there are additional awards for participants who received the highest point in several categories for different classes such as Best Ultimate Professional Chef Award, Best Ultimate Junior Chef award, Best Ultimate Pastry Chef Award, Best Mekong Team Award, and the highest achievement- Best Establishment Award for the best institution whose contestants received the most awards with cash awards of 12,000THB, 6,000THB, 10,000THB, 20,000THB and 30.000THB, respectively.
